June 14, 2010, a Monday
Parker (K2) to Pawnee National Grassland, Colorado, USA
— Back to the Pawnee National Grassland for Swift Foxes
I got up around my usual time, and had my normal breakfast. I worked up a blog entry and J went for a walk. We prepped the RV to move and left around 10:25 with me in the RV and J following in the Jeep.

We went to a Loaf 'n Jug to fill up the RV at $2.399/gal using our 10¢/gal discount and to fill up the Jeep at $2.469/gal using just a 3¢/gal discount. We hooked up the Jeep to tow in their parking lot, then got underway.

We went to J's father's, F's, place around 11:15 so J could drop off some things to store there and to invite F to go out for lunch. We all left in F's car.

We took F out to lunch at Panda Express for Father's Day. We each got the pick two entrees and one side option. I got Kung Pao Chicken, Beijing Beef, and fried rice, and J got Walnut Honey Shrimp, SweetFire Chicken Breast, and fried rice.

Then we all went to the nearby WalMart to pick up a few things.

We returned to F's and J and I left around 1:20.

We stopped at the REI in Westminster. They didn't have a large bottle of camp soap in stock, but they did have a roll-up folding table that J wants to use for her hummingbird flash setup.

We stopped at a Cenex in Greeley around 3:20 to dump and take on water.

It had been mostly or partly sunny today until we were approaching the Pawnee National Grassland, then the clouds started to get thicker and darker.

We reached our favorite boondocking spot in the Pawnee National Grassland, and it started raining as I finished leveling the RV. A few minutes later, it started raining heavily, and about ten minutes later there was thunder.

The rain stopped around 5:30 and I went to look at the fox den where we had photographed Swift Foxes about three weeks ago. The den was still active, so I set up our Primos Vision Blind. There was some nice light coming through a gap in the clouds when I started, but it started raining again as I was staking down the blind.

I returned to the RV and J was finishing dinner.

We had dinner around 6:20 of Buitoni Wild Mushroom Agnolotti with Classico Sun-Dried Tomato Alfredo sauce, and it was very tasty. (Agnolotti is a type of ravioli.) We had some Betty Crocker brownies for dessert.

We fixed the shade over the sofa because J discovered that the day shade part of it wouldn't stay up. The problem was that one side had come out of the clip at the top! The rain had stopped and there was some nice light outside, but we decided to stay in the RV tonight instead of going out to the blind because it was really wet and muddy out and the light wouldn't be around for very long. I worked up a blog entry and did some computer work.
