August 10, 2010, a Tuesday
near Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, USA
— Cleaned the RV and photographed at Dowdy Lake
We got up a little later than usual and it was sunny and calm out. After my regular breakfast, I started to upload the remaining images for my stock submission then backed up some data while packing up the items I got paid for that I had sold through eBay. I left in the Jeep by myself around 11:05.

I went to the Post Office in Red Feather Lakes to mail off the items I had eBayed and to pick up replacement mailing boxes and envelopes.

Then I explored the area to check out some of the other lakes.

I returned to the RV around 11:45 and J went for a walk.

I had lunch around 11:55 of a Clif Bar followed by a banana and an apple while finishing the August 2010 Outdoor Photographer. J returned around 12:20 and started to clean the screens on our ceiling vents — they needed it. Then I helped her remove the vent covers on the roof so she could wash the vent hatches. Our vents looked much better when J was done! While she was doing that, I removed the duplicate entries from my Address Book. I was actually quite happy that the sync had failed last night for the Address Book, because several months ago I had ended up with duplicates on the Palm but not in the Address Book. Now that I had a complete set of duplicates on both platforms, I could toss the duplicates and only have one set on each platform. (As I was looking into how to fix the duplicated Notes last night, it occurred to me that I could have forced my laptop to over-write all of the entries in the Contacts on the Palm to remove the duplicates.) Then I started to remove the duplicated Notes in Notebook. I started to do it by hand, then J had the brilliant idea to automate it somehow. So, I set up an iKey script to select 20 of the duplicated notes at a time for me to delete. That sure helped with the repetitive stress syndrome, but it was still a slow process to go through the 7700 some odd notes. In fact, I stopped half way through and then did a sync while I made dinner.

We had dinner around 5:55 of leftover Blue-Cheese Burgers and J's baked beans. J got tired of being the Mistress of Leftovers, so we'll probably start sharing those cooking duties.

The sync went well, and I now had only one set of Contacts on the Palm and the Notes reflected what I had in Notebook on my laptop. We left in the Jeep around 7:15.

We went to Dowdy Lake to try sunset again because the clouds were looking better than they had before. Unfortunately, fishermen were not only around "my rocks," they were also in my second composition too. So, I photographed some nice reflected boulders by a small inlet (left). The clouds lit up nicely and J got some shots of it.

We returned to the RV around 8:30. I downloaded and downselected the images I took, then finished removing the duplicate entries in Notebook.
