September 21, 2010, a Tuesday
Uinta National Forest to Wasatch Mountain State Park, Utah, USA
— Photographed near our campsite, moved, then photographed from our campsite
We took it easy this morning. I had my normal breakfast then left by myself in the Jeep around 8:50.

The sun hadn't risen enough to photograph what I had intended, so ...

I returned to the RV and processed four images for the blog. I left by myself in the Jeep around 10:05.

The sun had risen high enough to provide the illumination I was looking for on the mountain with the yellow aspens (left).

I returned to the RV around 10:40. We prepped the RV to move and I left in the RV around 11:20 while J stayed behind to finish cleaning up the trash that previous campers had left around our campsite.

I went to the Summit Trailhead and started to dump into the pit toilet using our Flojet Macerator Pump. J arrived in the Jeep and discovered that we had enough of a Verizon National Access signal to go online. She could check email but couldn't do much else, and I couldn't connect at all.

I had lunch around 12:15 and started to work up a blog entry. We left around 12:45 and headed ...

To Cascade Springs. We had hoped to take on water, but there was no obvious outdoor faucet, so we headed over ...

To the Conoco in Midway around 1:45 to take on water. I went online through the fast Verizon Broadband Access signal and checked my email.

We went to the Post Office in Midway at 2:15 so we could both print out shipping labels for items that had sold on eBay. J took her packages into the Post Office to ship and I left in the Jeep around 3:35 and went ...

To the UPS Store in Heber City around 3:45 to drop off my packages. Then I walked next door ...

To the Smith's Marketplace to pick up a few things.

I returned to the RV around 4:15 and J was on the phone with an Apple Tech Support person to get her iPhone fixed/replaced. About two weeks ago, the volume control for normal phone operation stopped working, so she has had to use it in speakerphone mode to hear the other person. Her AppleCare had just expired, and in fact they didn't have a record of the AppleCare, and the Apple Tech Support person wasn't interested in bending the rules to accommodate her. We left with me in the RV and J following in the Jeep.

We reached an exceptionally nice boondocking spot around 4:55. There was a spectacular view of the mountains and the fall color, great solar-electricity potential, and a fast Verizon Broadband Access signal! It's one of the best boondocking spots we've ever had! After setting up camp I started to make dinner.

We had dinner around 5:30 of Bertolli Tuscan-Style Braised Beef with Gold Potatoes, that I had kicked up a notch by adding some fresh-cracked pepper just before it was done, and some Private Selection (Kroger Brand) Sliced Petite Whole Clove Garlic Bread with some Oil And Vinegar Dip minus the minced garlic because there was already garlic in the bread. The bread was extremely chewy, but it was good and went great with the Tuscan-Style Braised Beef — mmm.

After dinner, I worked on a blog entry then went outside around 6:05 to photograph the fall color from our campsite (left). J came out after a while to photograph too. It was so nice to be able to photograph without commuting!

I went back inside the RV around 7:30. I downloaded the images I took and downselected them in Capture One (C1). Then I did some computer work before going to bed.
