October 30, 2009, a Friday
Parker (K), Colorado, USA
— Made a snowman with the grandkids
I awoke around midnight and tossed and turned for a while trying to get back to sleep. I was wide awake by 1:00, and got out of bed at 2:15. I Worked up a blog entry, then did some computer work.

J was up and stirring by 8:20, so I started my normal morning routine of exercises and breakfast. I went outside around 9:30 to clean off the snow and ice from the RV. There was about 9 inches (23cm) of snow on the roof with the bottom inch (3cm) or so really slushy. There was a line of icicles at the edge of the roof at the front and front passenger side where melting water had frozen. I finished up around 10:45, then took a shower. I did more computer work.

Had lunch of Clif Bars around 12:15 because we were out of bread and apples for my normal lunch. J left in the Jeep around 1:10 to run some errands. Well, as she was cleaning off the snow and ice from the Jeep, she pulled a wiper blade off and I had to go out to put it back on. Then the Jeep wouldn't turn over, so I used the Husky emergency battery to jump it. J left and I went back to doing computer work. J returned from the library and grocery store around 5:05. I ordered some Pizza Hut pizzas to be delivered to SJ&DilK's (J's Son J and Daughter-in-law K's) place. We left in the Jeep around 5:20 and went ...

To SJ&DilK's. I started helping the grandkids make a snowman, and J took pictures of us. The snowman was huge (about 6 ft or 1.8m tall), and we used a ramp to get the middle ball in place. The pizzas were delivered about 45 minutes before the predicted time, and we hadn't finished the snowman yet, so the pizzas got to cool off a bit until we were done. The Pizza Mia pizzas were great. I had gotten one cheese, one pepperoni, and one half sausage and half mushroom. Surprisingly, GA (grandson A, age 7) and GS (granddaughter S, age 2.5) went for the sausage pizza instead of the plain cheese pizza. GJ (grandson J, age 4) enjoyed the salami pizza — he calls it salami because he doesn't like pepperoni. :) We had some cookies 'n cream ice cream for dessert.

We went to the Parker Payless Liquor store to pick up some supplies.

We returned to the RV around 8:05. I finished up a blog entry, then did some more computer work.
